When you find yourself at the end of a long day, and everything is done and everyone is asleep, you go for a walk without direction. The only intention is to enjoy the sensory experience of a warm summer night. Your mind begins to rest as you put the day’s worries onto tomorrow’s plate and you embrace the present without worry for the future.

Calmly, you find yourself being guided only by your heart; a feeling that says, go left, absent of logical reason. You follow it, surrendering to intuition. And you observe what your heart was directing you toward: a park you never noticed, or a pedestrian bridge over a moonlit stream. A clearing with a view of a constellation, or a path toward the river.

Eventually, but without warning, you feel satisfied, and you turn to head home. And with that, your Night Drift is complete.
